Artist's Description
This is the fifth and final quilt of the Obama series for his first term in office. This quilt pays tribute to a long and hard four years spent working to accomplish the agenda set forth in year one; healthcare, education, economy, environment, defense, and ethics.
One of Presidents Obamas expressions is Everything is on the table; meaning that we will discuss everything and consider all points of view to accomplish our goal.
This quilt depicts his agenda on the table. I used word clouds to bring to light what he discussed in the last four years. The agenda item pictorials are plates on the table that illustrate the words used most in fact sheets on the government website. The fact sheets summarize the passing of legislation and budgets. The QR Codes under each pictorial are there for you to scan with a SMART phone and read the detailed fact sheet. The website is also listed for your convenience if you do not have a scanner.
